TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 01- ARRIVAL TO TASHKENT

• Arrival to Tashkent
• Meeting at the airport.
• Transfer to hotel, check-in, leisure time.
• Dinner at the restaurant.

DAY 02 – TASHKENT – KHIVA

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Meet by driver and direct transfer to domestic airport
• Registration and flight to Urgench
• Upon arrival Urgench airport & transfer to Khiva
• Check in. Lunch at the restaurant
• City tour around Ichan-Kala architectural complex (12-19^th cc),the residence of the Last Khan including Ismail Khodja mausoleum ,Mohammed Amin Khan Madrassah ,Kunya-Ark castle (16-17^th cc),Kalta Minor tower, Tash-Hovli palace (19 th c) Pahlavan Mahmud mausoleum (14-18 th cc),Juma Mosque(10 th c) and etc (total 56 objects).
• Dinner at local restaurant.
• Overnight at the hotel.

Some history: Khiva Info

According to archaeological data, the city was established 2500 years ago. It is the former capital of Khwarezmia and the Khanate of Khiva. ItchanKala in Khiva was the the first site in Uzbekistan to be inscribed in the World Heritage List (1991).The world renowed astronomer, historian and polymath, Al-Beruni(973-1084CE) was among several Muslim Scholars born here.

DAY 03 – KHIVA – BUKHARA

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Road trip to Bukhara via desert Kyzyl-Kum along caravan road (7hrs).
• Lunch en route – lunch boxes from Khiva.
• En route short stop over for photo shooting of desert.
• Arrival to Bukhara.
• Hotel accommodation.
• Free evening on your own to explore old center of Bukhara.
• Dinner at restaurant.
• Overnight at the hotel.

Bukhara is the city in Uzbekistan .People have inhabited the region around Bukhara for least five millennia, and the city has existed for half that time. Located on the Silk Road, the city has long served as a center of trade, scholarship, culture and religion. UNESCO has listed the historic center of Bukhara ( which contains numerous mosques and madrasas) as a World Heritage Site.

DAY 04 – BUKHARA

• After a Healthy Breakfast at Hotel in Bukhara get ready for Bukhara sightseeing .
• Sightseeing tour in Bukhara (continue). Complex Poi Kalon (Beneath the Great): Kalon Minaret (12^th c), Kalon Mosque (12^th c) and Miri Arab Medressa (16^th c); Ulugbek Medressa (15^th c);

Ark citadel; Bolo Hauz Mosque; Balyand Mosque; Toki-Zargaron, Toki-Sarrafon, Toki-Tilpak Furushon- shopping mall (15-16^th cc).

• Lunch in local restaurant in Bukhara
• Drive to Samarkand.(4 hr)
• Dinner in local restaurant in Samarkand
• Free at leisure time, overnight in Samarkand

Little Info: The Lyab-i-Khauz Complex(XVI-XVII c) – the square was formed by the buildings of the Kukeldash Madrassah (Bukhara),the Divan-Begi Madrassah and the diwan-Begi Khanaki, grouped around the Nadir-Begi Khausa reservoir. The ensemble size is approximately 150 by 200 meters.

DAY 05 – SAMARKAND

Imam Al-Bukhari was the great theologian of the East.He collected and recorded about 600 thousand hadith, i.e. legend based on cases of life or some sayings of the Prophet .Out of them,Al-Bukhari selected as “flawless” about 7400 hadith to include into the famous “AS-Sahih” which became the second most important book after the Koran for the majority of Muslims.

• Little Info: Shakhi-Zinda – A unique ensemble of ancient tombs (1370-1449 years) is located near Afrasiab settlement.It is also called “Street cemetery”.Building of mosques and mausoleums of XI-XV centuries oddly stretched on both sides and their blue domes look like an elegant necklace from the top.Shakhi Zinda is the burial place of royal persons and nobles.Necropolis starts seems to be imaginary grave of Prophet Muhammad’s cousin, Kusam ibn Abbas.The complex was called “Shakhi Zinda” that means in Persian “The Living King”

• Continue of the excursion : Registan Square – (Madrassah Ulugbek (1417-1420), Madrassah SherDor (1619-1636),Madrassah Tillya-Kari (1647-1660),)

DAY 06 – TASKENT

Meet your guide to start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia. Visit part of the Old City of Tashkent with Khast-Imam Complex where the world famous Quran of the Caliph Uthman–Ottoman has been preserved. In Khast Imam visit Madrassah of Barak Khan,Tilya Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Kaffal Sashi .Visit Tashkent TV Tower – the highest in Central Asia. Explore Chorsu Bazaar(dry fruits, souvenirs and etc. -optional)

DAY 07- TASHKENT – MOUNTAINS

• Dinner at the Mountains restaurant or in Tashkent with music and dance shows (optional at tourists request)
