AM: 08:00-08:30 Our guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Then visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho”s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda~ founded by King Ly Thai to in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist~ dating from the Ly Dynasty) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam). Lunch.
PM: After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum~ continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Vietnam”s first university constructed in 1070~ it”s gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam”s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake~ see the peaceful waters~ and visit Ngoc Son temple. For the end of the tour journey visit by coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter. Free for shopping.

Day 3: HANOI – TAMCOC – HANOI (Breakfast/Lunch)
800AM Departure to Hoa Lu (2.5hrs). Visit the historic capital of Vietnam and the famous ancient temples of Le and The Dinh Dynasties. Bus transfer or cycle for an hour on picturesque quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops to Tam Coc (12KM) for lunch. Boat trip to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Drive back to Hanoi. Tour ends around 6pm.

In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchen. Plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Today, start our trip, visitor can have chance to know how the tunnel was constructed, spend the next hours exploring the tunnels and war remnants, where you’ll learn more about the conditions the people lived in, the hardships they faced, and the amazing ingenuity employed to maintain life in the tunnels, sample some of the simple cuisine that local fighters would have survived on, and have an opportunity to venture into the tunnels and explore the complex. 13:00 – 15:30: Savor a delectable lunch as Oriental Sails cruises further along the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay.
15:30 – 16:30: Fishing village visiting.
Those are interested in local daily life: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip (around 45 minutes) around Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen. The village is set in closed lagoon, surrounded by mountains, excellent settings for some good photos.
