ABOUT SUNDARBAN

The Sundarbans is a mangrove area in the delta formed by the confluence of Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna Rivers in the Bay of Bengal. It spans from the Hooghly River in India’s state of West Bengal to the Baleswar River in Bangladesh.

Itinerary

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01:

We start for Sundarbans early in the morning (6.30/07-am) from Khulna Launch Ghat / Mongla. We reach Dhangmari forest office-(11 /11.30-am) at that time we pay our forest tax and take our forest guard/-. At that time the ship starts its journey the first destination Herbaria Mangrove trail, we visit Herbaria Mangrove trail, then we start its journey the next destination Kachikhali. In the first day we stay night on ship at Kachikhali tourist spot.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 02:

In 2nd day early in the morning we can cruise the Kachikhali channel and visit in side forest some time. As you like and came back on boat take our breakfast at that time the ship starts its journey the next destination katka tourist spot. After breakfast in the morning our vessel will move for Katka tourist spot around the Katka Sea Beach and the wild forest with Katka Watch Tower. In Katka we can take one’s bath in katka see beach. And after lunch we will enjoy the office side of the largest Mangrove forest and enjoy the sunset, then come back on boat and at that time the ship starts its journey the next destination Karamjal wildlife centre. In the 2nd day we stay night on boat near Dhangmari forest office.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 03:

3rd day early in the morning we visit Karamjal wildlife centre, and then we make our return journey for Khulna. You can either catch a flight back to Dhaka via Jessore or take an overnight bus/train to complete the journey.

Visa Processing

TOURIST VISA INFORMATION – BANGLADESH

Visa on Arrival (VOA)

Visitors from countries in which Bangladesh has no Embassy/ Mission, and from those countries, which issue Landing Permit (LP) or Visa on Arrival (VOA) to travelers from Bangladesh, will qualify for Visa on Arrival (VOA) at the Hazrat Shahjalal International airport, Dhaka.
Foreign investors, exporter and the people attending seminar or symposium organized by the government of Bangladesh will also be eligible for Visa on Arrival (VOA) (VOA seekers must produce valid documents from concerned authorities such as BOI, BEPZA, BGMEA, FBCCI and concerned Ministries of the Government).
The immigration officer at the port of entry (i.e. airports, land ports etc.) will approve VOA after examining all relevant documents and after his/her full satisfaction. Please use the same port for entry and departure. People from any country under official ban will not, however, qualify for Visa on Arrival (VOA) or Land Permit (LP).

People of the following categories of European countries may obtain a visa on arrival (VOA) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka:

Potential investors
Tourists
Members of defense and security forces with prior clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh
Spouse and children of Bangladeshi origin foreign citizens (at the port of entry, such VOA seekers must submit proof of Bangladeshi origin e.g., citizenship certificate, current/expired Bangladesh passport)
Officers/staff of the foreign Embassies, UN and subsidiary organizations located in Bangladesh (VOA seekers must submit their appointment letters and other related travel documents).
Also, citizens of the European countries of above categories are eligible for visa on arrival if they travel to Bangladesh from a country where there is no resident Bangladesh Embassy/Consulate.

The requirement for Visa on Arrival (VOA):

VOA applicants must check the following prior to departure for Bangladesh:

Fees to be paid at the port of entry in cash in USD/Euro/Pound Sterling
Minimum USD 500 in cash or in credit card (Except those on government duty)
Return ticket for short time stay
Valid passports (Holders of Certificate/Lassies-passes issued by the United Nations and its Specialized Agencies and Continuous Discharge Certificate/Nullies/Seaman book (when traveling on duty) are exempted from this.)
